Part-Time Code Enforcement Assistant

The Norway Town Office is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) code enforcement assistant. Applications will be accepted until Friday, August 1, 2025. Applications are available on the town’s website www.norwaymaine.com or at the Town Office at 19 Danforth St. Norway, ME 04268.

Code enforcement addresses various issues to ensure community safety and well-being. These include:

Building code compliance to ensure structures meet safety and construction standards.

Property maintenance, addressing issues like overgrown vegetation, waste accumulation, and unsecured structures.

Zoning violations, which regulate land use and development according to established ordinances.

Shoreland zoning, specifically enforcing regulations in areas near bodies of water or wetlands.
