The Norway Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a Park Ranger for Lake Pennesseewassee Park from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This security and park maintenance position will work in providing services to Lake Pennesseewassee Park through the busy summer season. This person is responsible for meeting and informing the park visitors of the rules of the park, as well as being a point of contact in the event of an emergency. This position will be asked to perform a variety of various clean up tasks necessary to properly maintain and protect land, water areas, buildings and other physical facilities at the park. Supervision may include directing and overseeing the activities of groups of volunteers, who may assist in the care and maintenance of the park.

The Ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to work along side a team or alone to complete task given to them by the Parks and Recreation Director. The candidate must have the ability to move 50lb bags of soil and mulch, push mow / weed whack, and do brush clean up and removal.

This position is 30 to 40 hours a week, with some weekends. This position has the ability for flexible hours.

Pay Range from $18 to $20 an hour.
