Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of The Town of Norway Municipal Building Renovations will be received by Dennis Lajoie, Project Administrator

at the office of

 until 10:00 a.m., (Local Time) December 18th, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

 

The proposed work consists of interior renovations to the existing Town Office, and includes demolition of partitions, concrete cutting, removal of suspended ceilings and HVAC equipment and electrical devices. Plans call for minor patching of concrete floors, installation of light-gauge metal framed drywall partitions, doors, cabinetry, and ceilings, suspended tile ceilings, floor finishes, and modifications to existing plumbing and HVAC systems. Electrical work is limited to new lighting fixtures and switching, and convenience receptacles throughout the renovated area.  

 

A pre-bid walkthrough will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 4th. All Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted by December 6th. Responses to RFIs will be provided by December 11th.

 

All bidders must furnish the following:

  1. A completed Bid Form, as well as a statement concerning the Company’s experience with this type of construction project.

 

  1. A bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check, made out to the Town of Norway.

 

  1. Signed compliance forms (400-6, AD-1048, and RD 1940-Q Exhibit A) included in this specification.

upon payment of $ 205.00 non-refundable fee (paper copy plus shipping and handling)for each set, or a Digital Download Copy of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained from Xpress Copy for a non-refundable fee of $75.00.

After the Contract is awarded and before work commences, the successful bidder must furnish:

1. 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.

2. Certificate of Insurance

 

The Town of Norway will have sixty (60) calendar days within which to accept or reject any bid. The project completion date is 10 months to substantial, 12 months to completion after the contract begins. Liquidated damages in the amount of $200.00 per day are contained in the Contract.

 

The Town of Norway reserves the right to adjust the quantities and/or items contained in the Bid Form as needed in order to stay within the project budget. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of Town of Norway.
